Happy Birthday!

I did these cookies for a friend's birthday this week. I wanted something springy and I think they turned out great! Plus the little bites are so fun to do and easy to justify eating ten of them- the larger cookies, I draw the limit at three. ;)

Arkansas Cookies

Some of my favorite orders are the ones that include doing the state of Arkansas in cookie form. :) I have two Arkansas cutters- one big and one smaller- the smaller one I had to HUNT for online. Oh the woes of a cookie baker. Anyways- I haven't posted these designs on the blog yet, just on my facebook page, so I thought I should get around to that. Please let me know if you ever need some personalized state cookies- I am dying to branch out! :)

These cookies were done for a silent auction and theme was obviously- Razorback Baseball.

I did these for the opening/ rebranding of The Social Type. I did an assortment of cookies for their event and loved every second of it! So much fun and such a fabulous opportunity!

Baby Shower

I got my start doing cookies for my sister's baby shower and haven't looked back since. They are one of my favorites because all I need is an inspiration picture, whether that is the invitation or a napkin, and I am good to go! Thanks Laura for the order for your dear friend! I hope Baby Tucker's celebration was fabulous!

And a couple of close-ups

I dusted the top of the rattles with sanding sugar to give them a bit of depth. Also, I used thick lining icing piped through a Wilton number 12 tip to make them "fluffy" and three dimensional.

What do you think? I've got a few orders coming up that I can't wait to show you!

Hollywood Baby Shower

I love doing baby shower cookies! Decorating the onesies is always so much fun because I get to do different designs each time. This shower was especially fun because it was "Hollywood" themed and I had free-reign on the designs. The one request of the orderer: "I want Oscar statues".

Of course finding an Oscar statue cutter proved to be quite difficult so I did what any baker would- make do with what you have. These are actually a Mrs. Clause cutter with the skirt cut off. Fun huh?

A group picture
And some closeups. I used luster dust on the stars and the Oscar statues (you can't really tell) and red and gold glitter on the hearts and "Shelbi".
